Origins of Tru-Spec Tactical Clothing by Atlanco

Posted by Eddie Schmidt on Jan 22nd 2013

Atlanta Army Navy Supply Company was one of the nation’s largest surplus dealers since 1950. In the late 1980s, they started distributing equipment and clothing for the military, law enforcement, and civilians alike under their new Atlanco brand.

By 1996, Atlanco started manufacturing military and law enforcement clothing itself. This naturally evolved into the development of the Tru-Spec brand and its still popular 24-7 Series. After their original BDU clothing line developed for the military, Atlanco's Tru-Spec brand has now evolved into the premier tactical, public safety, EMS and duty apparel.

As you can see from their website, they are clearly endorsed by USMC Gunnery Sgt (Retired) R. Lee Ermey — so they are truly ‘Gunny Approved’! So whether you’re in the military, a police officer, or just a guy on the street who appreciates quality tactical clothing, Tru-Spec 24-7 has just what you need. We stock the full line from BDUs to TDUs to 24-7 in all sizes and colors. Men’s 24-7 Series Tactical Pants are very popular and we carry waist sizes 28-44″ and inseams of 30″, 32″ and 34″. Check out all Tru-Spec’s great clothing.
