Medium ALICE* packs were designed for combat and make great backpacks for a few days of hiking, camping, or hunting. They make great bug out bags too.
Store your easy-access items in the outside pockets or slide a longer item in a tunnel between a pocket and the main pouch. There is an additional pocket designed to hold a AN/PRC-25 or 77 radio. You can shorten the pack when it’s not full with provided tie-down cords and D-rings.
There is a handy pocket in the pouch flap for small, flat items. Just pull the two tabs apart to open, and press the flap sides together to close it.
